The Opportunity

We are hiring a dedicated Kitchen Manager for our new community focused live music venue with a full size restaurant and bar. Our kitchen will serve creative locally sourced cuisine inspired by global comfort food for an eclectic mix of music lovers of all ages and backgrounds. We want an innovator who brings passion to the line, enjoys being part of a creative community, thinks outside the box to solve daily challenges, and treats food like an evolving art form that goes hand in hand with our approachable craft bar and edgy music program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative Leadership: Foster an inspiring kitchen culture that celebrates fresh ideas and high energy while maintaining efficiency and impeccable organization. Willingness to take over any kitchen station when needed without hesitation and lead by example.

  • Innovative Problem Solving: Develop unconventional, efficient solutions for prep, workflow and expediting designed to handle sudden service rushes due to our concert schedule.

  • Menu Collaboration: Pitch creative specials and original interpretations of classic global comfort dishes based on seasonal availability of local ingredients.

  • Team Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, and motivate a passionate back-of-house staff. Responsible for setting the tone and establishing a kitchen culture of the highest standard.

  • Quality Control: Ensure strict compliance with health department regulations. Ensure uncompromising sanitation standards and rigorous mise en place to ensure absolute food safety and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • The Mindset: A uncompromising passion for quality ingredients, culinary traditions and creative collaborations.

  • Out-of-the-Box Thinking: Proven ability to adapt quickly and innovate under pressure.

  • Experience: 2+ years of kitchen management experience in a high quality restaurant. We value the ability to learn and grow over long time experience.

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with casual comfort food and the ability to make everything from scratch. Knowledge of fermentation/pickling/curing processes is a big plus.

  • Certifications:  All valid required certifications will need to be obtained within 30 days of hiring
