One Globe Radio concept developed by Sergio Mielniczenko and Mika Mutti
One Globe Radio (“OGR”) is a project formed by multi-instrumentalists with the goal of making music without borders, based on global music sounds, acid jazz, Middle Eastern, Electronica and authentic Brazilian music.
Mika Mutti is a music director (Piano, Synthesizers, Percussion, Guitar), co-producer and arranger for Sergio Mendes since 2008 (including the most recent album to be released in April 2019), co-producer, songwriter and performer of the closing ceremony of the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, co-producer / songwriter / performer of the track "Rio", and has recorded and performed with artists such as: Scorpions, John Legend, Jamie Foxx, Will I Am, Carlos Santana, Siedah Garrett and Common. Mika has been nominated for a Grammy with Sergio Mendes's album "Bom Tempo" and "Magic" performing as a percussionist, pianist, co-producer and songwriter. Mika also participated in the feature animation ‘Rio’ as co-producer, co-arranger, and musician. In 201, ‘Rio’ was nominated for an Oscar in the category of animated feature film.
Fabio Rocha (Drums, Bass, Guitar, Percussion) is based in Los Angeles. Although Fábio's main instrument is drums, he is a versatile musician. He plays the guitar and bass with unusual ease.
He is also a songwriter and has worked with many famous musicians in Brazil touring Italy, France, Germany, Portugal, the United States, and Switzerland. Fabio Rocha also played at the world-famous Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. He has been nominated for a Latin Grammy for his work in the DVD "Lugar da Alegria" with the Brazilian band "EVA.
Dror Marko (Guitar, Synth guitar) is a guitarist from Israel. Dror graduated from the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles and currently works as an arranger, copyist and music director for several artists in California, mixing elements of Middle Eastern music with Brazilian music. Dror lived in Brazil for 4 years, always touring and recording with prominent Brazilian artists. His vast musical experience adds to the global sound of the One Globe Radio project. Dror has also participated in several international festivals, sharing the stage with great artists such as legendary drummer Marvin "Smitty" Smith, "Surface" band, American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez, and the vocal coach for ‘The Voice’, Peggi Blu.
OGR is an interactive, exciting, contemporary show, musically sophisticated and still easy to flow into its global groove.
Interestingly, OGR musicians take turns on acoustic and electronic instruments, playing powerful riffs.
OGR is a collaborative project with the participation of invited artists and musicians from different parts of the world incorporating poetry and audio-visual projections, creating a truly sensorial experience.
