Cormac De Barra is one of Ireland's leading harp players. He has travelled the world performing with some of Ireland's most influential artists including Clannad, Moya Brennan and punk icon Hazel O'Connor. He is equally at home with Irish, contemporary, classical and rock music. Through his work with Hazel O'Connor he met and formed a musical partnership with producer and composer Lynne Earls. Lynne is a voting member of the Grammys and has produced and recorded with such artists as the preeminent Brazilian musicians Flora
Purim and Airto Moreira and Canadian recording artist KD Lang.
Together, Cormac and Lynne have been composing and recording music for television and film over the past five years and are currently working on a new recording with the Grammy winning vocalist, Moya Brennan. They have gathered around them some of LA's finest and most respected musicians for a live concert on May 23rd which will be a coming together of cultures - featuring flavors of Ireland & Brazil, electronica and world music rhythms - drawing on folk roots, but creating new, exciting and sometimes improvised music.
