Burning Ghosts + Wax People

A politically motivated quartet at the forefront of the jazz-metal underground featuring four of the most acclaimed musicians in the LA experimental music scene. Playing scorching instrumentals that touch on heavy metal and jazz, the music is uncompromising and intense, filled with precise rhythmic complexity and textural power. Their first release on Tzadik is an incendiary blockbuster and is destined to become an instant classic!

Daniel Rosenboom - Trumpet
Jake Vossler - Guitar
Richard Giddens - Bass
Aaron McLendon - Drums

Wax People is an L.A. based experimental math metal band, with Michael Mull (bass clarinet) Phil Galatioto (drums), and Rusty Kennedy (bass). The trio's calculated compositions feature modulating polyrhythms, aggressive riffs, and surprising chord clusters, all framed within a deep and natural groove. Think Meshuggah, Carbomb, or Behold...The Arctopus, with undertones of John Zorn and King Crimson. They are currently in the studio working on their debut album.
